Thank you, for wanting to know just a little bit more about Bekkiebears.
Bekkiebears, the name I gave my creations, started in September 2013. I can hardly believe it's been almost 7 years already!
It can be difficult, and some new creations can take weeks, some even months, to devellop,
but I enjoy making my own unique designs.
I like to be creative and believe inspiration and hard work can bring you far.
I try to be as unique as possible.
Bekkie is derived from my first name, Rebekka, but also refers to their lovely smiles, in Dutch 'lachebekkies'.
My creations come in all shapes, sizes and colours, but one thing all 'Bekkiebears' have in common, is their smile.
I'd like to bring you some joy.

Most of my creations are fully jointed, which means you can
change the position of their arms, legs and head any way you want.
This gives them extra character.
I use every kind of fabric there is. (which gets me into a little sewing trouble now and than :-)
Al my creations have unique details, which can not be replicated and come from all over the world.

Guardians of the Earth
Here, at Bekkiebears, we are as environmental friendly as possible.
How, you ask?
Well, by:
~ Reducing, Reusing and recycling materials.
~Buying locally.
~Eating organic.
~Using natural materials as much as possible.
~Buying in (local) charity shops vs all things new.
~Using our feet and bike vs our car.
~Cleaning the beach and our neighbourhood.
~Giving away what we don't need in stead of throwing it away.
~Donating to charitys
So, by buying a Bekkiebears creation, you are supporting the planet!
Bekkiebears, saving the Earth, one bear at the time.

Most of my pictures were taken by my wonderful friend and photographer, Vinanda.
If my bears have souls, she knows how to capture them.
If you want your portrait taken, have an upcoming wedding, or are in any way looking for a photographer, I highly recommend her. Please visit her (Dutch) Website: http://www.vinandafotografie.nl
Thank you Vinanda, for your continued efforts for Bekkiebears!

"I strongly believe that although my bears are named after me, they wouldn't exist without others.
